Traditional binding
Traditional or fine binding is directly originated from a 16th century know-how. In fact, except for some tools as guillotine (paper cutter), the binder's hands have been doing almost the same gestures for no more than 5 centuries.
The fine binding respects those traditions.
Made of leather for the luxury bindings, or of cloth for other ones, they're often decorated with gilding or marbled papers
