Design binding

Design binding (also called art binding) enables a great range of possibilities, with the use of materials such as leather, paper, wood, cloth, plexiglass.

It inheritanced from bookbinders such as Pierre Legrain, Paul Bonet, Georges Leroux, Monique Mathieu, who marked the history of bookbinding with many innovations.

I deeply think that the design of a book is strongly linked to its content. The container has to illustrate and even interprate the content, as an extension of the text.

The notion of the design might sometimes seem kind of superficial. However I believe that the design gives its soul to the book and bring it to life.
